Critics Choice Awards Nominees: A Triumph for Sinners and One Battle After Another

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Warner Bros.’ film Sinners leads the nominations at the 31st Critics Choice Awards with 17 nods. The film is nominated for Best Picture, Best Director for Ryan Coogler, and Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, placing it ahead of Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, which has earned 14 nominations.

Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery received the highest number of nominations on the very day they reached a merger agreement. Warner Bros. dominates with 36 film nominations, followed by Netflix with 27.

In television, Netflix’s Adolescence leads with six nominations, followed by Nobody Wants This, also from Netflix, with five.

The 31st Critics Choice Awards will be held on January 4, hosted by Chelsea Handler.
